Insurance is no different than any other game of chance. Rule number one is that the house always wins in the long run. Rule number two is that the house will pay out as infrequently as possible. (See rule number one.)

It doesn't matter if we are talking about property insurance, health insurance, crop insurance, or any other form.

The real secret to winning is not to play when at all possible. The only way for that to happen is to have enough money put aside to cover your losses. People with enough money don't buy insurance. They work around it by "self insuring." For instance you are legally required to have auto insurance. To get around that, people with money pay an underwriter to write up a policy where they will pay the claims to themselves. With health care, you can do the same. You can negotiate prices and pay cash. Of course the risks are different in that medical costs can bankrupt you or you might have to forego treatment you cannot afford.

But the game is rigged. People in the high risk areas do pay for insurance. They game the system in that their risks are higher so they are more likely to make a claim than the average policy holder. The same thing happens with health insurance. The people at high risk (pre-existing conditions) want to make sure that they will pay no more than people at low risk even though they are more likely to have claims to be paid than the average policy holder.

It isn't a conspiracy, it is a business model. Insurance companies work tirelessly to make sure that they pay out less than they take in with premiums. The policies are explicitly written to minimize the types and amounts of claims that they will pay. They lobby the legislatures write laws to force people to have many types of coverages. The frighten people with tales of the losses that they will incur when most people will pay far more in premiums than they will ever receive in claims. If people file more in claims than they pay in premiums, the insurer will do everything that they can to cut their losses and not cover them.

Great analysis of the mendacity of the Insurance corporations.

I've delved into the issue of Insurance in a time of abrupt climate change.

we 💯 need to build new globalist-free systems. The cabal owns the insurers and the gov't and their agenda is very clearly antihuman. It's run on divide and conquer and fear. They'll throw their supposed friends the coastal elites in the sea as well whenever it suits them. We need to stop playing their game on their terms. They need us to be angry and in survival mode. When we turn that energy into building our own systems, their house of cards built on deceit will collapse.

Oh also, this is exactly what the banks did in the foreclosure crisis -- the mortgages / deeds of trust were full of bank fraud ... backdating, white-out used to change interest rates and documentation ... straight up fraud.

That's so funny, @Suzanne O'Keeffe -- all we could think about when writing this story was "Linda Green." Those who know, know.

At least 1/2 Florida is mostly sand. Water should drain and won't flood as badly. The other 1/2 is swamp and marsh, so should be a good duck season in Florida this year!

The locales with the worst damage are where Hillary's deplorables live, so it's no surprise that FEMA is dodging, and even impeding outside help.
